This is a pretty simple idea: every so often we'll feature a new nerdy movie, person, idea, item... whatever.  Feel free to suggest ideas, or even make comments on the feature of the week.  We'll do our best to post whatever incomming comments we receive as soon as possible.  Enjoy our feature of the week.

ATHF (10/16/2004-10/22/2004)

Inignot : Your roommate is a nerd.
Err : Yes, on the moon nerds get their pants pulled down and they are spanked with moon rocks.

...and Beyond (10/9/2004-10/15/2004)

The next step in space travel is privately owned companies offering civilian space travel.  Pretty soon, space centers will be just like airports.  There will be privately owned companies doing the actual flying, and NASA will just be like a regulatory agency, making sure terrorists don't get to the moon and that people don't smuggle Martian rocks off of the red planet.  Its starting to happen. And the government doesn't want to stop it.  I'm both excited for common space travel, and sad for NASA.  NASA has always been sort of a hero of mine.  I loved that they were able to hang out in space when no one else could.  They're amazing, and now they're being pushed into the background by private companies, unfortunate accidents, and the fact that there are more important things to be concerned about than space exploration.  There's something so romantic about space travel.  Something that pushes nerds into the hero light.  Astronauts are probably some of the nerdiest people, but they can still attain the popularity of football players.  I love that.  And I'll miss that when space travel is as common as it is in Futurama.

The Search for More Money (9/29/2004-10/8/2004)

For all of you who knew what I was talking about simply by the title, kudos.  For those of you that didn't, here we go.  Spaceballs, that classic from the mind of Mel Brooks, is going to have a sequel.  Its about damn time.  There's not much out in the way of information yet, but here's one of the articles that revealed the news.  I'll, of course, be praying for a summer 2005 release.  But Brooks says 2006 would be the absolute latest.  God speed, Mr. Brooks.  I hope to see that your wit hasn't diminished.  And I hope Rick Moranis is in it.  Please, do the prequels no justice (no one else has).
