Yes, we love nerds, but like everything else nerds come in all shapes and sizes. Here are some of the general nerd classes.
|
|
Comic Nerd
This nerd knows everything there is to know about comic books and that's a little scary. Comic nerds can rant on and on about storylines and details we never even knew existeted, like the 3 Spiderman clones or the discontinuities of Captain America's costumes from issue thirty-one to issue thirty-two. |
Television Nerd
You don't know what these nerds are going to come up with because their scopes are all of television. What was the last line spoken in the first episode of Cheers? How many times has Velma said "jinkies" on Scooby Doo? How many times has Mo Rocca appeared on VH-1? These questions are no problem for the television nerds. |

|
Video Gamer Nerd
These nerds spend too much time and money on their games and their game systems. They will sit for hours and possibly days at a time just to defeat a game. They will even resort to socializing if they need to play a multi-player game. Their hands are curled in the shape of a controller (most often the old-school Nintendo controllers) and their hand-eye coordination (or thumb-eye coordination) is fantastic. |
Star Wars Nerd
This nerd not only knows the Star Wars movie lore, but is deeply engorssed in the expanded universe. The Star Wars nerd's wealth of knowledge covers an entire galaxy. These force-wielding, X-wing flying, nerf-hearding nerds know more about the fictional Star Wars galaxy than what's going on in the Milky Way. Unless, of course, the Milky Way has spoilers about Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

|
Star Trek Nerd
The Star Trek nerd has a unique dedication. The television shows, the movies, the books, the syndication of the television shows, the costumes... This nerd knows more than is healthy about everything Star Trek. Star Trek nerds have defined the term "nerd" and they deserve praise for that. |
Movie Nerd
Movie nerds are similar to television nerds. They know information about the most obscure movies and know miniscule facts about the more popular movies. The movie nerd's wealth of trivia is impressive. Did you know that Little Shop of Horrors is the only movie in which Steve Martin plays a character that dies?
